POOR MAN'S LAMENT
Verse 1:
It’s a terrible thing, to be a rich son, and to never soil your hands.
There is a trial, a man should experience, well that’s a buck for an aching back
Oh A Poorman’s known that, Known that.
Verse 2:
The day will come, when the good lord will take us, and for our sins we must pay.
Before we can come, to euphoria, a lot of sufferings gonna come our way.
Oh A Poorman’s known that, Known that.
Bridge:
I have walked many a mile to get here.
And the road was often rocky.
Though I know, it’s not my time to go from here,
I keep on waiting, anticipating, for that time to draw near.
Verse 3:
We live our lives, with no time to look back. No regrets can we take.
We cut a path for the younger ones, to leave a claim we could not stake.
Oh A Poorman’s known that, Known that.
Verse 4:
It’s a terrible thing, to be a rich son, and to never soil your hands.
There is a trial, a man should experience, and that’s a buck for an aching back
Oh A Poorman’s known that, Known that.
